Fan Expo Dallas 2019 Recap
In case you missed this year's Fan Expo Dallas, we're going to recap everything you missed at this year’s convention!
In our opinion, Fan Expo Dallas is a convention with a lot to offer the nerdy community in North Texas. It brings in the biggest names in movies & TV for any convention in this part of the state, & it always has something fun for everyone to see or do, regardless of what your preferred fandom is. It is precisely because Fan Expo Dallas is a pop culture convention, rather than a traditional comic convention, that it has the wide reaching appeal that it does. That is why, in all the years that we have been going to it, we have never really had anything genuinely negative to say about it & always frame any less than fantastic aspects as things that be improved next time. Fan Expo HQ, with the direction of the incredible Andrew Moyes, has put so much hard work into blending so many fandoms into a single weekend’s worth of experiences. It’s the kind of thing that is only able to see true perfection in it’s implementation once you have gotten to the size of New York or San Diego Comic Con. Anything smaller than that will always have things that people will be able to say, “you know, I wish they had done this” or “it would have been better if they did that.” The truth is that every year since Fan Expo took over what used to be Dallas Comic Con, while the experience has always been different than it was before Fan Expo came into the picture, each year’s convention has continued to strive to offer something more than the year before. And it’s because of that that we believe that Fan Expo Dallas is THE convention to keep watching year after year & see what happens next.
