Is The Boondock Saints Any Good?

We’re back today with yet another potentially controversial addition to our “Does It Still Hold Up” series. The Boondock Saints is one of those movies that is practically a right of passage for middle school & high school boys around America. It’s a movie that is talked about well before you actually watch it because it taps into a certain angst that that age group is trying to put into words. Or at least that is the tale that has been woven over years of watching & retelling from one class to the next, over & over again. The real question is, does the legend hold up if you remove the nostalgia & the reverence created over time? Would a modern audience even like this movie if it came out today?
